The Peruvian postal authorities issued a special commemorative stamp in 2001 to celebrate the centenary of Alianza Lima. As part of their centenary celebrations their home ground the Estadio Alianza Lima was renamed the Estadio Alejandro Villanueva in honour of one their most important players.
