
Bournemouth & Boscombe v Hapoel Tel Aviv 1967
Staying with Hapoel Tel Aviv, they were again visitors to England when Bournemouth and Boscombe AFC hosted them at their Dean Court ground for a pre-season friendly in August 1967. This was a prestigious friendly for the Dorset club. During the 66/67 season they had finished in 20th place in the 3rd division avoiding relegation to the basement league by just 2 points.They did improve however for the 67/68 season finishing comfortably in mid-table.
Hapoel Tel Aviv meanwhile were the reigning Israeli champions and by December 1967 had become the first Asian Club Champions by winning the inaugural Asian Club Championship.
